Deck overview

This Abzan deck pairs Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to execute an aggressive +1/+1 counter beatdown strategy. Yoshimaru enters on turn 1 and grows rapidly whenever legendary permanents enter the battlefield. Reyhan preserves counter momentum by transferring +1/+1 counters to surviving creatures whenever modified creatures die. The 99-card deck supports this plan with a dense suite of counter multipliers, including Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, Corpsejack Menace, and Doubling Season. Evasion enablers like Abzan Falconer and Kodama of the West Tree turn massive power into lethal combat damage. The deck operates primarily at sorcery speed, curving from early threats into midgame bombs like Kalonian Hydra and Cathars' Crusade. While the list features resilient death triggers and late-game mass reanimation via Primevals' Glorious Rebirth and Eerie Ultimatum, it lacks compact infinite combos and fast mana, relying instead on compounding board presence and sequenced combat steps to eliminate opponents.
