Deck overview

Rivaz of the Claw turns the graveyard into a limited second hand and supplies two Dragon-only mana each turn. The deck's normal plan is to place Dragons in the graveyard with Entomb, Unmarked Grave, Buried Alive, or discard, then combine Rivaz of the Claw with Dragon Tempest and large Dragons. Lathliss, Dragon Queen, Scourge of Valkas, Scourge of the Throne, and Crucible of Fire convert repeated Dragon entries into a threatening board. Cost reducers and Treasure makers help the deck cast additional Dragons from hand. Its main weakness is that the engine is expensive and exposed: removal of Rivaz of the Claw, Dragon Tempest, or the graveyard can delay the plan substantially. The deck has useful removal and sweepers but little protection and no compact infinite win. It is strongest in a slower mid-power table where repeated hasty Dragons can generate value before opponents assemble faster engines.
