Deck overview

Volo, Guide to Monsters leads a Simic creature-copy engine that turns each differently-typed creature into two of itself, then explodes into a token swarm. The early game is dork ramp plus land-tutors to rush Volo out on turn 3; midgame is copied ETB value - double Wood Elves triggers, double Man-o'-War bounces, double Mulldrifter draws, double Acidic Slime or Reclamation Sage removal. The endgame is a copied Hornet Queen multiplied by Parallel Lives and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, finished by Craterhoof Behemoth or End-Raze Forerunners, whose pump triggers also get copied into a hasted, trampling, game-ending swing. A draw-go layer of Mystic Remora, Consecrated Sphinx, Seedborn Muse, and Hullbreaker Horror keeps the engine fed and the stack policed, while Peregrine Drake loops can generate overwhelming mana. This is a midrange value deck: not blisteringly fast, but with strong grind and a very high ceiling.
