Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck executes a Mardu Aikido and Spite strategy that turns opponents' aggression and symmetrical damage spells into lethal finishing moves. By establishing the Monarch early through Queen Marchesa, the deck secures steady card replenishment while setting up a fortress of defensive deterrents like Ghostly Prison, No Mercy, and Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker. The primary offensive engine revolves around a dense suite of damage-reflecting creatures such as Brash Taunter, Phyrexian Vindicator, and Boros Reckoner. These creatures weaponize massive board sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction, redirecting tens of damage directly to opposing life totals. In addition, the deck carries compact infinite damage combos, notably Brash Taunter paired with Guilty Conscience or Blazing Sunsteel, which burn out the entire table in a single turn. Backed by premier defensive spells like Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver, the list punishes reckless boards and closes games decisively.
