Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange control strategy commanded by Thanos, the Mad Titan. The game plan revolves around leveraging Thanos's power-up ability, which provides an asymmetric odd-or-even board wipe when he enters the battlefield. A dense package of low-cost mana ramp and fixing ensures access to all five colors plus colorless mana by Turn 5. Once Thanos wipes opposing boards, aristocrat engines like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Ogre Slumlord, and Overseer of the Damned capitalize on creature deaths by draining life totals and generating token swarms. High-impact combat threats such as Shredder, Shadow Master and The Dalek Emperor rapidly halve opponent life totals to finish the table across two combat cycles. Blink spells like Momentary Blink provide dual utility by dodging removal and resetting Thanos's once-per-permanent power-up clause for repeated board control.
