Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck is commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen and aims to overpower opponents through a relentless flight of massive winged threats. The deck leverages an extensive suite of mana rocks and tribal cost-reducers—such as Dragonspeaker Shaman, Dragonlord's Servant, and Herald's Horn—to accelerate past its steep mana curve. Once Lathliss, Dragon Queen resolves, casting any subsequent nontoken Dragon generates a 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly doubling the board's offensive presence. Continuous damage amplifiers like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert creature deployment into direct burn, while heavy hitters like Utvara Hellkite and Terror of Mount Velus turn combat steps into lethal table sweeps. Although vulnerable to mass removal and lacking countermagic, the deck relies on sheer aerial power, high creature density, and resilient board wipes to close out games around Turn 8.
