Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and battlecruiser list helmed by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, engineered to cheat game-warping odd-mana value spells directly into play. The primary game plan focuses on establishing early 2-3 CMC mana rocks, setting up the top of the library with cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and resolving Yennett on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Yennett attacks to reveal and cast devastating high-cost spells such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, or Breach the Multiverse without paying their mana costs. These payoffs seize immediate board control by establishing severe asymmetric stax locks and continuous creature attrition, allowing the deck to eliminate opponents across three combat rotations by Turn 8. While the deck boasts resilient board control and versatile spot exile, it remains vulnerable during Yennett's deployment window due to a lack of innate haste, protection spells, and cheap stack interaction.
