Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet tempo and tribal engine piloted by partner commanders Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. The strategy deploys low-cost evasive Pirates on the earliest turns, converting unblocked combat damage into explosive Treasure ramp via Malcolm and impulsive card theft via Breeches. This constant influx of mana and cards lets the deck deploy threatening board modifiers like Shared Animosity, Coercive Recruiter, and Coastline Marauders while effortlessly holding up cheap countermagic to protect its assets. While the deck primarily closes games through overwhelming airborne combat and artifact-trigger burn via Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist, it also harbors a lethal two-card infinite damage combo in Glint-Horn Buccaneer and Malcolm. The combination of resilient commander access, efficient interaction, and self-funding tempo makes it a formidable mid-power combat engine.
