Deck overview

This is a Boros midrange combat deck helmed by Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant // Phoenix, Warden of Fire, built around legendary creatures, Equipment, and Final Fantasy-styled Saga creatures. The primary plan is to develop a board of value legends, suit them with Equipment, and pressure life totals through combat, while Joshua loots on entry and later transforms into Phoenix, Warden of Fire for chip damage and a Chapter III mass-reanimation of creatures with total mana value 6 or less. Secondary angles include Equipment-enabled Voltron swings, theft turns off Zidane, Tantalus Thief and Goatnap, and late-game haymakers like Etali, Primal Storm and Sephiroth, Fallen Hero. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins by attrition and combat inevitability, using flash protectors, indestructible grants, and Phoenix's graveyard return to rebuild after wipes.
