Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy led by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. The main game plan focuses on deploying efficient Zombie creatures in the early turns, establishing Wilhelt to convert non-decayed creatures into extra cards and decayed tokens, and building an overwhelming board state. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 6 by deploying powerful anthem lords like Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Diregraf Captain, or resolving massive board swings like Army of the Damned and Zombie Apocalypse. Evasive keywords like flying from Eternal Skylord and menace from Gleaming Overseer enable the horde to push through blockers, while aristocrat drain effects punish opponents for wiping the board. The deck operates with consistent mid-game card flow, moderate reactive interaction, and resilient graveyard recursion, closing out games around Turn 8 through wide combat swings.
