Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Boros Voltron strategy built around Lightning, Army of One. Lightning provides built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink, but her most powerful trait is Stagger, which doubles all damage dealt to a player after she connects in combat. The list pairs Lightning with aggressive equipment that drastically boosts power, such as Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden. A dense suite of equipment tutors and cost-cheat cards like Sigarda's Aid, Forge Anew, and Puresteel Paladin allows the deck to bypass equip costs and establish a fast Turn 4 clock. Ample low-cost protection spells keep the primary threat alive, while cards like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Helm of the Host combo lines provide explosive finishes across the entire table.
