Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a BUG Elf-value engine that turns the graveyard into a second hand of activated abilities. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with Elf tokens and mana dorks, convert that mass into a lethal Triumph of the Hordes or Craterhoof Behemoth overrun, and fall back on a Staff of Domination loop powered by any of several big-mana Elves for a noncombat win. Thranduil's legendary-Elf ETB draw trigger keeps velocity high, while his all-activated-abilities-in-graveyard mode lets the deck re-use utility Elves. There is no dedicated hidden commander; Prime Speaker Vannifar is a secondary pod-toolbox that can assemble the same Elven kill.
