Deck overview

This deck is a classic Rakdos stompy strategy centered on leveraging Rakdos, Lord of Riots to cheat massive colorless threats into play ahead of curve. The early turns focus on developing mana and establishing repeatable, low-cost life-loss engines such as Spear Spewer, Sanctum of Stone Fangs, and Thermo-Alchemist. Once an opponent loses life on turn 4, Rakdos enters the battlefield as an evasive 6/6 flyer. On turn 5, combat damage from Rakdos reduces the generic mana costs of creature spells by six or more, allowing the deck to chain massive Eldrazi like Artisan of Kozilek, Ulamog's Crusher, and Pathrazer of Ulamog into play for negligible mana. While highly explosive when uninhibited, the deck relies heavily on its commander to function and carries limited counterplay against sweepers or targeted removal.
