Smaug's Hoard by Fredrikie

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Treasure/Dragon strategy that wins through a critical mass of artifact tokens. The main plan is to generate Treasures faster than opponents, point Smaug's attack trigger at life totals, and convert spare mana into extra combat steps. Secondary paths are the Hellkite Tyrant/Knuckles the Echidna artifact-count alt-win and an Aggravated Assault loop with Goldspan Dragon, Ancient Copper Dragon, or The Reaver Cleaver. Smaug is a hasty value piece and finisher, but the deck does not depend on him; there is no hidden or double-faced commander, and Treasure Map//Treasure Cove serves as a token/draw engine. Dragon beaters, equipment, and Descent into Avernus provide reach and a global clock.
