Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Reanimator strategy focused on Sea Monster tribal synergies led by Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep. The game plan uses early self-mill, discard outlets, and tutors like Entomb and Buried Alive to place massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents into the graveyard. Casting Runo on Turn 3 sets up a 6+ CMC creature on top of the library, transforming him into Krothuss, Lord of the Deep on Turn 4. Reanimating a Sea Monster immediately enables Krothuss to attack and create two attacking copies of that monster. Payoffs like Spawning Kraken, Scourge of Fleets, and Hullbreaker Horror rapidly overwhelm opponents with massive token armies and one-sided board clears, typically ending the game by Turn 5. The deck is reinforced by efficient Dimir interaction, free commander spells, and lightning-fast reanimation redundancy.
