Lightning strikes twice by BrotherIceBear

Format: Commander

Commander: Isshin, Two Heavens as One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Mardu Equipment/combo deck is built around Isshin, Two Heavens as One doubling every attack trigger. The primary plan is to suit the commander with cheap Equipment, generate Spirits and counters with each combat, then close with extra combat or double strike. Secondary paths use Godo and Akki Battle Squad to chain combats, Nahiri and Gilgamesh to dump Equipment for free, and Forge Anew/Underworld Breach to recur them. The hidden commander is effectively the Equipment package itself: almost every threat is an artifact that turns an equipped creature into a one- or two-turn kill. Goldfish speed is around turn six to seven, but the deck is fragile to artifact hate and needs Isshin to reach its explosive turns.
