Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Midrange list built around Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients, leveraging enrage triggers to flood the board with 5/4 Dragon Spirit tokens. The core game plan focuses on deploying efficient 2-mana ramp spells on early turns to cast Vrondiss ahead of curve on Turn 4 or 5. Once the commander enters the battlefield, the deck employs self-damage engines like Pyrohemia, damage reflection equipment such as Blazing Sunsteel, and enter-the-battlefield burn enchantments like Dragon Tempest and Terror of the Peaks to rapidly generate tokens and deal non-combat damage. Card draw is sustained by power-based triggers like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. While vulnerable to exile removal and lacking dedicated nonland tutors, the deck compensates with strong functional redundancy among its stompy threats and high-impact sweepers like Blasphemous Act.
