Y'shtola (Mill/Discard) by swampkami

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Y'shtola, Night's Blessed as a steady drain and draw engine. You cast noncreature spells that cost three or more to ping each opponent for two and gain life, while any turn where four life is lost draws a card at end step. The deck controls the board with counterspells and wipes, then grinds opponents down with incremental drain from Bloodchief Ascension and Psychosis Crawler and with large mill effects like Terisian Mindbreaker and Singularity Rupture. It has no infinite combo and wins slowly through attrition, with Exsanguinate and decking as closers. Y'shtola accelerates the plan but the mill package can function without her.
