Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Blech, Loafing Pest to convert lifegain triggers into permanent board-wide power on Pest, Insect, and Snake tokens. Early turns establish mana velocity through cheap dorks and rocks, quickly deploying Blech alongside soul-sister effects like Essence Warden and Prosperous Innkeeper. In the mid-game, token multipliers such as Scute Swarm, Iridescent Hornbeetle, and Beledros Witherbloom trigger rapid exponential growth whenever life is gained, generating an overwhelming combat presence. Concurrently, an aristocrat shell featuring Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance ensures that sweeper effects or voluntary sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar turn token mass into direct table-wide life loss. The deck also includes an infinite two-card combo with Dina, Soul Steeper and Exquisite Blood that immediately drains opponents upon any life transition. While susceptible to mass exile and heavy interaction, its dense internal synergy and high token throughput create a persistent clock.
