Commander: The Astonishing Ant-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Astonishing Ant-Man commands a Simic counter-and-token engine that converts steady card draw into massive board presence. Drawing cards places +1/+1 counters on the commander, which you convert into an army of Insect tokens to trigger combat-based draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Curiosity Crafter. Counter enhancers like Hardened Scales, Pir, Imaginative Rascal, and Doubling Season accelerate both creature size and token production. The deck closes games through explosive overruns powered by Craterhoof Behemoth or Triumph of the Hordes, or by granting evasion and overwhelming lethal combat damage with Baxter, Fly in the Ointment and Iron Man, Armored Avenger.
