Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Temur Voltron deck helmed by partner commanders Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist. The primary game plan is to accelerate mana on turns 1 and 2, deploy Haldan on turn 3, and cast Pako on turn 4. Pako's innate haste allows him to attack immediately, exiling four cards per swing with fetch counters to pump his power while fueling Haldan with a steady stream of lands and noncreature spells. On turn 5, Pako presents lethal commander damage through combat amplifiers like Temur Battle Rage, Two-Handed Axe, and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. A dense package of 1-mana and 2-mana protective spells and countermagic ensures that Pako survives opposing disruption, allowing the pilot to eliminate opponents in rapid succession across turns 5 through 7.
