Format: Commander

Commander: The Wise Mothman

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai mill-and-mutate strategy helmed by The Wise Mothman. The deck floods the table with rad counters and continuous mill from engines like Mesmeric Orb, Ruin Crab, Altar of the Brood, and Psychic Corrosion, then converts every nonland card milled into +1/+1 counters via the commander. Primary wins are library elimination (often doubled by Bruvac the Grandiloquent or The Water Crystal) and lethal combat through unblockable, heavily modified creatures enabled by Herald of Secret Streams. Secondary lines include the classic Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank drain loop, reanimation of milled bombs (Lord of Extinction, The Mimeoplasm), and poison via Vraska, Betrayal's Sting. The commander is a strong value engine but not required for the combos or mill plan; the 99 functions independently as a self-contained mill/control deck with a thick recursion and proliferate package.
