Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Amalia Benavides Aguirre, focusing on incremental lifegain triggers, library exploration, and steady life drain. The primary plan establishes Amalia on Turn 2, followed immediately by repeatable lifegain sources that trigger her explore ability. Exploring filters draws, puts extra lands into hand, and rapidly grows Amalia with +1/+1 counters. Parallel synergy pieces such as Ajani's Pridemate, Essence Channeler, and Starscape Cleric capitalize on every lifegain trigger to build wide, evasive threats while simultaneously draining all opponents' life totals. A compact infinite combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Marauding Blight-Priest provides an alternative instant table kill when assembled. While the deck boasts high internal synergy, graveyard recursion, and reliable creature removal, it features minimal ramp acceleration and little instant-speed protection against full-board sweepers.
