Otter Shock by drugxdoctor

Format: Commander

Commander: Alania, Divergent Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck, helmed by Alania, Divergent Storm, aims to generate massive value by copying instant and sorcery spells, with an Otter tribal subtheme that synergizes with copy effects. The primary win condition involves chaining cheap cantrips and copy spells to build a formidable storm count, then finishing with Grapeshot, Boltwave, or Lava Spike. The commander acts as a repeatable copy engine on the first instant, sorcery, or Otter each turn, while backup copy pieces like Veyran, Voice of Duality, Thousand-Year Storm, and Ral, Crackling Wit exponentially multiply the output. Mana is generated through Storm-Kiln Artist's treasures and Mana Geyser, enabling explosive turns. The deck wins through direct burn damage, often in one large turn.
