Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis aristocrats and midrange engine built around Marchesa, the Black Rose. It leverages dethrone and +1/+1 counter synergies to make creatures virtually immortal. By pairing a free sacrifice outlet with Marchesa, the deck continuously recycles utility creatures and enters-the-battlefield triggers on every player's end step. Board control is achieved through recurring attrition pieces like Grave Pact and Ravenous Chupacabra, which keep opposing creature boards clear while protecting your own board from conventional removal. The deck finishes games via cumulative burn from Flayer of the Hatebound and Blood Artist, reinforced by unblockable attacks enabled by Herald of Secret Streams. While resilient to standard sweepers, the strategy is vulnerable to graveyard exile and exile-based removal directed at Marchesa before counters can be placed.
