Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Group Hug and Control strategy led by Kwain, Itinerant Meddler. It accelerates the table's card draw while breaking parity through asymmetric engines like Smothering Tithe, Faerie Mastermind, and Wedding Ring. Defensive barriers such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Peacekeeper, and a basic-heavy Back to Basics suppress opposing combat and greedy mana bases. Without tutors, the deck uses massive raw card draw to dig into primary win conditions, primarily Approach of the Second Sun and the infinite draw engine of Mind Over Matter with The One Ring. Efficient spot removal and counterspells protect the life total, while Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun ensure key win spells resolve without interference on Turn 7.
