Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Golgari Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy piloted by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and sacrifice outlets in the early turns, establishing Meren by turn 3 or 4, and accumulating experience counters through sacrifice fodder like Accursed Marauder and Plaguecrafter. By looping self-sacrificing creatures every turn, the deck generates compounding card and board advantage while keeping opposing creature threats suppressed under asymmetric edicts and Grave Pact. The primary win condition transitions from attrition into a deterministic combo kill around turn 5. Utilizing tutors like Buried Alive and multi-target reanimation like Victimize, the deck assembles infinite drain loops using Mikaeus, the Unhallowed with Putrid Goblin, or Chatterfang, Squirrel General with Pitiless Plunderer. The deck boasts strong resilience through redundant graveyard recursion, though it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and stack-based combo decks.
