Deck overview

This Boros deck combines political permanent donation and theft mechanics with compact creature combo finishes. Led by Zidane, Tantalus Thief, the deck leverages cards like Humble Defector, Yes Man, Personal Securitron, and Bucknard's Everfull Purse to draw cards while generating Treasure whenever opponents gain control of your permanents. It uses efficient tutors such as Imperial Recruiter, Recruiter of the Guard, and Enlightened Tutor to assemble infinite-token combos using Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Splinter Twin alongside untappers like Felidar Guardian, Zealous Conscripts, and Combat Celebrant. Alternatively, the deck can assemble hard lockouts via Drannith Magistrate paired with Possibility Storm or Knowledge Pool, completely shutting down opposing spellcasting. While it lacks broad instant-speed spot removal, its robust graveyard recursion via Karmic Guide and Reveillark ensures high resilience against single-target interaction.
