Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is helmed by Sorin of House Markov // Sorin, Ravenous Neonate, focusing on lifegain synergies, steady drain attrition, and resilient midrange combat. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost lifelink creatures and utility spells to flip Sorin early, generating Food tokens and direct damage. In the midgame, the deck deploys scaling threats such as Elenda, Saint of Dusk, Sunscorch Regent, and Bloodbond Vampire, while whittling down opponents with Marauding Blight-Priest and Extort triggers. The deck also includes a compact two-card infinite combo in Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Marauding Blight-Priest, which drains all opponents of their entire life totals upon any instance of life gain or loss. A robust suite of exile and destruction removal keeps opposing commanders and engines in check, while graveyard recursion spells provide insurance against removal.
