Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control strategy that pairs blink synergies with library mill and spell theft. Led by Hama, the Bloodbender, the deck uses flicker spells and Displacer Kitten triggers to repeatedly mill opponents and cast their best noncreature spells via waterbending. Mana acceleration from cheap rocks and rituals enables a Turn 4 deployment of key engine creatures. Once established, the deck transitions into lethal mill engines using Consuming Aberration, Undead Alchemist, and Maddening Cacophony, or executes a same-turn table kill with the infinite combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. A rich suite of interaction—including Fierce Guardianship, Mana Drain, and Toxic Deluge—disrupts opposing game plans, while Vren, the Relentless and Notion Thief restrict opposing resources. The deck operates smoothly even without its commander, offering high resilience and multiple paths to victory.
