Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Temur Dragon tribal strategy helmed by Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm. Its core game plan accelerates mana on the opening turns to resolve Miirym ahead of curve on turn 4. Once Miirym is on the battlefield, every subsequent Dragon spell creates a nonlegendary token copy, doubling enters-the-battlefield triggers, combat stats, and resource generation. Payoffs like Terror of the Peaks and Scourge of Valkas convert duplicated entries into massive bursts of direct damage, while Old Gnawbone and Ancient Copper Dragon produce overwhelming Treasure reserves. Draw engines such as Elemental Bond and Temur Ascendancy replenish the hand by drawing multiple cards per Dragon cast. The deck defends its heavy mana investments using free interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, alongside blanket protection from Heroic Intervention. It closes games decisively around turn 6 through unblockable flying damage, haste enablers, and repeated dragon-entry burn triggers.
