Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Combo-Midrange build commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It operates on a dual-track game plan: it leverages efficient acceleration and premier tutors to threaten an early win with Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation, while maintaining a resilient Midrange creature engine centered on nine copies of Nazgûl, Lord of the Nazgûl, and the commander's recurring discard-and-draw ability. Fast mana such as Dark Ritual, Chrome Mox, and Sol Ring accelerates deployment, while free and low-cost interaction including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deadly Rollick protects its board and disrupts opposing strategies. If the primary combo is answered, the deck transitions into reanimation lines with Worldgorger Dragon and Animate Dead or overwhelms opponents with massive Wraiths and Orc Armies. Dense card engines like The One Ring and Rhystic Study ensure steady card flow through all stages of play.
