Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token swarm and aristocrats strategy commanded by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The game plan revolves around generating small tokens (Squirrels, Foods, and Treasures) early, deploying Hazel to duplicate key tokens each end step, and converting those tokens into explosive mana bursts. That surplus mana accelerates token doublers like Parallel Lives and Doubling Season, expansive armies from cards like Deep Forest Hermit and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, and asymmetric wipe effects like Swarmyard Massacre. The deck closes games through two main vectors: wide combat overrun powered by Beastmaster Ascension and Craterhoof Behemoth, or lethal indirect life drain through aristocrat engines such as Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Zulaport Cutthroat. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers, the deck leverages resilient recursion like Living Death and flexible interaction like Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Force of Vigor to maintain board dominance.
