Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Midrange Cascade Stompy list commanded by Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. The game plan centers on ramping through the early turns to assemble all four colors, deploying Yidris on Turn 4, and connecting in combat on Turn 5. Once Yidris damages an opponent, every spell cast in the postcombat main phase gains cascade, quickly cheating high-impact creatures onto the battlefield. The deck finishes games through overwhelming combat pressure powered by damage doublers like Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, extra combats from Moraug, Fury of Akoum, or massive cascade chains led by Apex Devastator. It also includes a compact two-card infinite creature combo with Dualcaster Mage and Electroduplicate. While the deck possesses versatile instant-speed removal and explosive card velocity, its reliance on combat damage and lack of native haste leave Yidris open to removal before the engine starts.
