Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Control build helmed by Zevlor, Elturel Exile. Its core strategy revolves around breaking the symmetrical multiplayer restriction on single-target spells. By utilizing Zevlor's activated ability, the deck copies potent targeted spells—such as Cruel Ultimatum, Choice of Damnations, Bribery, and Exhaustion—so they resolve against each opponent simultaneously. Early turns focus on mana ramp via 2-CMC artifacts and cost-reducing creatures like Stormcatch Mentor and Nightscape Familiar. Once the mana base can support Zevlor's activation alongside large spells, the deck generates asymmetric blowouts that strip hands, clear opposing boards, and steal win conditions straight from opposing libraries. Secondary Magecraft engines like Archmage Emeritus, Sedgemoor Witch, and Professor Onyx turn every spell and copy into card advantage, board presence, and life drain. The deck controls the tempo of the table before executing a decisive attrition sweep around Turn 6, closing out the game by Turn 8.
