Deck overview

This Gruul Dragon Stompy deck leverages the partner pairing of Alena, Kessig Trapper and Kodama of the East Tree to generate overwhelming mana and board velocity. By utilizing explosive fast mana artifacts, cost reducers, and green ramp spells, the deck quickly establishes 5-6 mana by Turn 3-4. Once an enabler is deployed, every high-power dragon entering the battlefield either triggers Kodama to cheat an additional permanent into play or enables Alena to produce massive bursts of red mana. This fuels draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Rishkar's Expertise, cascading through the library to assemble lethal combat pressure or burn. The deck closes games via enter-the-battlefield burn from Terror of the Peaks and Scourge of Valkas, massive double-striking aerial swings with Atarka, World Render, or an infinite combat loop using Aggravated Assault alongside Savage Ventmaw or Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient.
