Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Orzhov combo-control list centered on lifegain and life-drain loops. While Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel serves as a potent card draw engine and outlet in the command zone, the core strategy operates independently through compact two-card infinite combos. By pairing effects that gain life when opponents lose life (like Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) with effects that drain opponents when you gain life (such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond), the deck creates deterministic lethal chains. Fast mana acceleration and top-tier black and white tutors ensure rapid assembly by Turn 4. The deck protects its win attempts using proactive silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Silence, while suppressing aggressive boards with Blind Obedience and Authority of the Consuls.
