Format: Commander

Commander: Satoru Umezawa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Satoru Umezawa turns every unblocked creature into a discount portal for expensive Dimir bombs. The primary plan is to stick a one-drop evader, then ninjutsu in Archon of Cruelty, Hoarding Broodlord, Rune-Scarred Demon, or other ETB threats while Satoru's trigger filters to gas. Secondary plans include Quicksilver Amulet as an alternate cheat, Atemsis's six-mana-value kill, and a small Peregrine Drake/Thousand-Faced Shadow loop. Kaito planeswalkers and Ninja Teen add grind. There is no hidden commander; without Satoru the deck can still attack with native ninjas, but the big-mana cheat plan slows substantially.
