Deck overview

Mendicant Core, Guidelight commands an Azorius artifact synergy deck that blends progressive speed scaling, cost reduction, and artifact swarm beatdown. Early turns establish mana rocks, artifact lands, and cost reducers like Etherium Sculptor and Foundry Inspector, while deploying the commander on turn 2 to start the speed engine. Consistent chip damage from evasive creatures advances speed to Max Speed (4) by turn 5, unlocking Mendicant Core, Guidelight's ability to duplicate every cast artifact spell for a single mana. The deck converts this mass artifact presence into decisive pressure around turn 6, utilizing massive scaling beaters like Kappa Cannoneer and Broodstar, or animating the entire noncreature artifact board into 4/4 flyers via Cyberdrive Awakener. Supported by repeatable card draw engines such as Shimmer Dragon and Vedalken Archmage, along with targeted countermagic and exile removal, the deck overwhelms opponents across two combat cycles to close out the game on turn 8.
