Deck overview

This Temur deck leverages Xyris, the Writhing Storm as an explosive combat-damage draw engine and token generator. By accelerating into Xyris on Turn 4 via green land-ramp spells, the deck aims to connect on Turn 5 using inexpensive combat pump spells such as Become Immense, Invigorate, or Temur Battle Rage. Connecting for combat damage forces symmetric card draw that triggers Xyris's ability, creating a massive swarm of 1/1 Snake creature tokens while completely refilling the pilot's hand. The deck holds up cheap 1-mana protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Blossoming Defense to shield its commander from removal. Once the token army untaps on Turn 6, overwhelming wide combat damage backed by Kessig Wolf Run and trample enablers systematically eliminates the table by Turn 7.
