Deck overview

This Orzhov deck operates as a focused Aristocrats and combo strategy commanded by Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight. The primary game plan revolves around assembling a compact infinite damage loop with Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista (or Triskelion). Early turns establish mana acceleration through low-cost mana rocks, Dark Ritual, and Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, while card draw engines such as Necropotence, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Skullclamp replenish resources. Access to key combo pieces is streamlined by specialized tutors like Ranger-Captain of Eos, Starfield Shepherd, and Beseech the Mirror. The deck protects its win turn with robust silence effects, including Silence, Voice of Victory, and Flare of Fortitude. If the primary Heliod line is contested, the deck seamlessly transitions into secondary aristocrat loops powered by Isilu’s universal persist grant alongside sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar and drain engines like Blood Artist.
