How to Train Ur-Dragon by NaturalKoKo

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a five-color Dragon battlecruiser deck built around The Ur-Dragon's Eminence discount. The plan is to ramp early, play Dragons ahead of curve, and snowball through ETB and attack triggers until a massive, hasted alpha strike ends the table. The deck wins primarily through combat: Twinflame Tyrant and Neriv, Heart of the Storm stack damage multipliers, Utvara Hellkite creates a token army, and Old Gnawbone/Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient convert attacks into explosive mana. There is no compact infinite combo in the 99; instead, the deck relies on Tiamat, Dracogenesis, and The Ur-Dragon's attack trigger to cheat out one threat after another. Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm functions as a hidden commander, doubling every nontoken Dragon, while Roaming Throne amplifies the deck's best triggers.
