Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari token swarm and aristocrats strategy led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana on early turns, deploying Chatterfang on Turn 3, and immediately capitalizing on its passive replacement ability by creating non-creature and creature tokens that double into 1/1 green Squirrels. These Squirrels fuel Chatterfang's built-in removal engine to keep opposing boards clear while powering card draw engines like Skullclamp and Plumb the Forbidden. The deck closes games around Turn 6-7 either by overrunning opponents with Beastmaster Ascension or by draining life totals with aristocrats payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Bastion of Remembrance, and Nadier's Nightblade. While the deck excels at creature control, card draw velocity, and board presence, it lacks targeted nonland tutors and stack interaction, making it reliant on drawing into its payoffs while remaining exposed to mass exile sweepers.
