Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos combo and storm engine commanded by Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. It accelerates into Ob Nixilis on Turns 2–3 using a dense suite of rituals and fast mana. Once Ob Nixilis is on the board, any source of exactly 1 damage to an opponent triggers both a +1/+1 counter and an exiled impulse draw. The deck exploits this engine through draw-punishing creatures like Orcish Bowmasters and spell-cast pingers like Coruscation Mage. The primary win condition is a two-card deterministic combo with Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute, which loops +1/+1 counters and 1-damage pings to eliminate all three opponents on Turn 4 in a single turn. Backup win routes utilize Underworld Breach storm lines, Bolas's Citadel loops, and Ad Nauseam. Efficient free redirect spells defend key combo turns against targeted spot removal.
