Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs Francisco, Fowl Marauder and Kodama of the East Tree to blend pirate-driven explore triggers with explosive reanimator midrange power. Francisco provides early evasion and graveyard setup by exploring whenever pirates connect in combat. The deck uses self-mill and dedicated entomb effects like Buried Alive to place massive payoffs into the graveyard, including Dire Fleet Ravager, Junji, the Midnight Sky, and Colossal Grave-Reaver. Low-cost reanimation spells bring these threats onto the battlefield as early as Turn 4. Once Kodama enters, every creature or land deployment doubles value by dropping additional permanents directly from hand. While the deck lacks instant-speed creature removal and compact infinite combos, its dense redundancy and recursion make it resilient against removal and capable of closing games rapidly through overwhelming combat damage.
