Deck overview

This Sultai deck blends classic Elfball swarm tactics with a graveyard-activated combo finish powered by Thranduil, the Elvenking. By loading the graveyard with key Elf cards, Thranduil adopts all their activated abilities. Pairing Devoted Druid with Greenhilt Trainee or Immaculate Magistrate allows Thranduil to grow infinitely large and generate unbounded green mana. The deck converts this advantage into an immediate victory through Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's sacrifice drain, an Ezuri overrun, or a massive Exsanguinate. Dense mana dorks ensure fast deployment, while specialized tutors like Buried Alive assemble the graveyard package in a single cast. If Thranduil is removed, the deck easily pivots into traditional Elf combat overruns or massive Lathril activations. Protection pieces such as Iron-Shield Elf and Selfless Safewright keep the board resilient against board wipes and targeted interaction.
