Betor, Ancestor’s Voice by N.O.W

Format: Commander

Commander: Betor, Ancestor's Voice

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice leads an Abzan lifegain/drain deck that turns life gained and lost into card advantage, +1/+1 counters, and reanimation. Betor's end step grows a creature with counters equal to life gained and returns a creature with mana value equal to life lost. The primary plan is to assemble an infinite life-drain loop using Exquisite Blood with Vito, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, or by pairing two drain-on-gain creatures, then close with Aetherflux Reservoir or Exsanguinate. Secondary paths use Meren and Celestine to recur big threats like Vilis and Sheoldred, while Serra Ascendant and Archangel of Thune offer a beatdown angle. Bolas's Citadel acts as a major engine rather than a hidden commander.
