Deck overview

This deck executes a dedicated Jeskai Voltron strategy centered on Ruhan of the Fomori. By leveraging Ruhan's above-curve 7/7 statline for four mana, the deck seeks to establish rapid commander damage kills. Early turns focus on fixing colors and establishing mana rocks before deploying Ruhan on Turn 4. On Turn 5, damage multipliers like Duelist's Heritage, Genji Glove, and Raiyuu, Storm's Edge scale Ruhan's damage output to 14 or 21 per swing, threatening immediate lethal commander knockouts. Because Ruhan's attacks are chosen at random each combat, the deck focuses on granting evasion and resilience through cards like Brotherhood Regalia, Lightning Greaves, and Bastion Protector. Efficient interaction in Swords to Plowshares and Counterspell clears opposing blockers and protects key plays, while recursive pieces like Sun Titan and One Last Job provide secondary stability against targeted disruption.
