Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a focused Mardu Angels/Demons/Dragons cheat-into-play deck helmed by Kaalia of the Vast. The core plan is to cast Kaalia on turn three, protect her with a dense equipment and instant-speed protection suite, and convert each attack into a free 5-7 mana flyer. The primary win condition is combat damage amplified by a redundant package of damage doublers - Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Twinflame Tyrant, Neriv, Heart of the Storm, Bloodletter of Aclazotz - and extra-combat enablers like Aurelia, the Warleader and Bloodthirster that let Kaalia cheat multiple creatures per turn. Secondary lines include hard-casting its 31-threat base, Terror of the Peaks ETB burn, and Archfiend of Despair end-step life loss. The deck is a straightforward, high-variance combat deck that trades card advantage for raw board presence.
