Deck overview

This Golgari competitive deck leverages Gorma, the Gullet as an engine piece for infinite persist loops. Gorma's static ability grants entering nontoken creatures additional +1/+1 counters based on how many creatures died under your control this turn. When a persist creature like Putrid Goblin dies and returns with a -1/-1 counter, Gorma provides a +1/+1 counter simultaneously. State-based actions cancel these counters out, allowing the creature to persist indefinitely when sacrificed. Supported by Altar of Dementia for table-wide mill or Blasting Station for infinite damage, the deck can assemble and execute its win as early as Turn 3. An explosive acceleration package featuring Dark Ritual, Chrome Mox, and mana dorks fuels rapid deployment. If the primary commander line is contested, alternative game-ending lines powered by Ad Nauseam, Hoarding Broodlord, and Saw in Half provide reliable backup paths.
